Studia Orientalia Electronica (StOrE) is a peer-reviewed, Open Access multidisciplinary journal publishing original research articles and reviews in all fields of Asian and African studies. It is an offshoot of Studia Orientalia, an internationally recognized publication series (see the website of the Finnish Oriental Society for further information on Studia Orientalia and the publisher). StOrE was established in 2013 to keep up the fine publishing tradition of Studia Orientalia. The new journal publishes high quality articles in a more modern and accessible format.

The first volume of Studia Orientalia Electronica was published in 2013 (see Archives section). Furthermore, some articles of back issues of the printed Studia Orientalia are found in the Archives section.
