Vol. 27 (2023): Celebrating 100 Years of Archaeology at the University of Helsinki. Past, Present, and Future

The University of Helsinki's archaeology program celebrated its 100th anniversary in December 2023. To mark the occasion, researchers, educators, students, and friends of the discipline collaborated to create a commemorative volume, published in the Iskos series by the Finnish Antiquarian Society. This over 360-page work sheds light on the origins and development of archaeology education from the late 19th century to the present day, the program's internationalization, and the shifting focal points of teaching across decades. Additionally, the book includes more personal reflections and insights into studying archaeology and the profession itself.
