Kansainvälisen mallintaminen Alain Badioun filosofian pohjalta

Abstrakti

Tässä artikkelissa tutkin kansainvälisen (engl. the international) mallintamista moneuden näkökulmasta Alain Badioun moneuden filosofiaan nojautuen. Moneuden teoretisointi on ollut ennen vain epäsuorasti esillä kansainvälisen politiikan tutkimuksessa, mutta useat uudemmat teoriat, kuten liitosteoria, Michael Hardtin ja Antonio Negrin imperiumikäsitys, moderni systeemiteoria ja Alexander Wendtin kvanttimekanistinen sosiaaliteoria, ovat tuoneet ajatuksen dynaamisesta järjestäytyvästä globaalista moneudesta kansainvälisen mallintamiseen. Esittelen, kuinka nämä vitalistiset teoriat edustavat Gilles Deleuzen filosofiasta kumpuavaa käsitystä vitalistisesta multiplisiteetista. Badiou taas edustaa multiplisiteettikäsitystä, joka pohjautuu Deleuze-kritiikkiin, ja tämän perusteella argumentoin, että asettamalla multiplisiteettikäsitykset keskinäiseen keskusteluun voidaan hahmotella badioulainen käsitys kansainvälisestä. Badioulainen käsitys lähestyy moneutta Deleuzeta organisoituneemmin, jolloin kansainvälinen voi olla globaali, monitahoinen ja dynaamisesti muuttuva kokonaisuus. Se kuitenkin aina paikantuu vallitsevaan historialliseen tilanteeseen ja sen ”olemisen logiikkaan”, järjestykseen sekä muuttuu dynaamisen muutoksen lisäksi paradigmaattisesti.
