Do we need commercial law?

The article discusses the role of commercial law in Finnish jurisprudence. Commercial law has not had a stable role in Finland. Attempts to create a sound theoretical base for it have failed. The author proposes that commercial law should be forgotten as an area of law, and in its stead economic law should be developed as the cornerstone of modern market regulation, with a sound theoretical base in economics.
