Abstract

This article is a faunistic review of the Trombidioidea mites occurring in Finland. So far, 26 species were known from Finland (Stålstedt et al. 2019). During the analysis of 239 Trombidioidea specimens, 13 species were identified. Four of them are new for the Finnish fauna: Atractothrombium sylvaticum (C. L. Koch, 1835), Centrotrombidium schneideri (Kramer, 1896), Valgothrombium longipes (Franke, 1942) and Valgothrombium major (Halbert, 1920). The other nine species confirm the occurrence of these species in Finland. Today, 30 species of Trombidioidea are known from Finland.
