Abstract

The aim of this paper is to explore perceptions of the immigration of foreign workers to Croatia from the perspective of Generation Y. Using semi-structured interviews, the study examined the attitudes of ten millennials toward the recent wave of immigration to Croatia. The findings showed that interviewed millennials have moderate attitudes toward immigration. Interviewees do not perceive foreign workers as a potential economic, social, or security threat but they advocate for greater state involvement in introducing mechanisms to limit the number of foreign workers and a more active approach to their social and linguistic integration.
