Abstrakti

Tässä artikkelissa käsitellään kriittisesti naisdiakonaattikeskustelua erityisesti Suomen ortodoksisen kirkon kontekstissa viime vuosina. Kirjoittaja asettuu naisdiakonaatin elvyttämistä vastaan ja argumentoi nykyisten pyrkimysten olevan pikemminkin innovaatio kuin historiallisen diakonaatin palauttaminen. Teologisina puutteina naisdiakonaatin puolustajien argumentoinnissa kirjoittaja näkee vajavaisen naisdiakonaatin historian esittämisen, mystagogisen maailmankuvan puutteen, kirkollisen hierarkian ontologisuuden ymmärtämättömyyden sekä mieheyden ja naiseuden symboliikan ohittamisen.
