Speech and Language (Puhe ja kieli) is a peer-reviewed journal on speech, language and interaction studies, published four times a year. The journal is published by the Finnish Association of Speech and Language Research.
The journal publishes research on
- speech, voice, language and communication
- linguistic and bodily interaction
- and the development, abnormalities and rehabilitation of the former
The languages of publication of Speech and Language are Finnish and Swedish. In addition to the printed version, issues are published through the OJS system, where articles, columns and book reviews are freely available for download.

Speech and Language has received a grant for scientific publishing from through TSV, awarded from Veikkaus’ revenue by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Speech and Language (Puhe ja kieli) is a peer-reviewed journal of speech and language research, publishing research in the fields of language, speech, voice, communication and interaction. The journal mainly publishes scientific articles, book reviews, doctoral defense lectures and the Puraistaan kieltä column. It also serves as the newsletter of the Finnish Association of Speech and Language Research.
