JFEA special issue on transport economics

We are excited to announce a special issue of JFEA focusing on transport economics. This sub-field is currently of considerable research interest in Finland. The objective of the special issue is to further enhance the international visibility of this burgeoning sub-field.

Any topics related to the transport economics are welcome, including (but not limited to) labor market effects of commuting choices and possibilities, externalities of transportation such as traffic congestion and pollution, the effects of government policy, regulation and taxes/subsidies covering all transport modes, including public transportation and tax policy of passenger cars and fuels. We are particularly interested in empirical contributions that make use of high-quality register data and/or innovative empirical approaches.

All submissions will go through standard peer-review process of JFEA. For guidelines to prepare your manuscript, please visit

Deadline for submission: September 30, 2024.
