A Bible Translation into the Northern Crimean Dialect of Karaim

Abstract

The paper presents selected samples of a Bible translation into the northern Crimean dialect
of the Karaim language. The samples are taken from a manuscript kept in the Rylands
Library collection in Manchester. The present publication comprises an introduction,
transliteration, phonetic transcription, grammatical sketch and a glossary. In the introduction,
the reader will fînd a description of the manuscript with notes on graphemics.
