New website for Arctos!

Welcome to the new website of Arctos – Acta Philologica Fennica at  www.journal.fi/arctos.

The publisher of Arctos (The Classical Society of Finland) has decided to digitize all our back catalogue and to make it freely available on this website. Old volumes will be published bit by bit during Autumn 2019 and Winter 2020 as the digitization proceeds and publication permissions are settled. Meanwhile, all the book reviews in between vols. 9–52 continue to be freely available on our old website. 

So far, Arctos has been publicly available in printed form only. The publisher of Arctos is committed to promoting free availability of all scientific articles published in our journal. From Arctos 52 (2018) on, each volume of Arctos will be published in open-access form on our web-pages exactly one year after the publication of the annual printed volume. 

Our old website at http://pro.tsv.fi/kfy/arctos/ will no longer be updated and will, eventually, cease to exist.

Arctos continues to welcome high-quality research articles written in English, German, French, Italian and Latin on all aspects of classical antiquity and its reception. If interested in submitting an article, please consult the section Guidelines for Submissions.
