Peer review statement
All articles published in Neuphilologische Mitteilungen have been peer reviewed. Anonymized submissions are reviewed by two independent experts, and their reports are sent to the author.
The peer review documents are stored in the digital archives of the journal. For accepted submissions these include the article manuscript, the reviewers’ reports and the decision. For rejected submissions only the names of the authors and reviewers and the title of the submission are stored.
Submissions that fall outside the scope of the journal or fail in the initial quality screening do not enter the review process. In such cases the authors are informed directly that their article cannot be published in Neuphilologische Mitteilungen.
In 2019 Neuphilologische Mitteilungen was granted the permission to use the peer-review label of the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies (TSV).
