The aim of SQS Journal is to explore and challenge normative categories such as gender, sexuality, race and class. The journal publishes interdisciplinary research related to non-normative sexualities and genders, and also heteronormativity.
In 2015, SQS Journal was granted permission to use the peer-review label of The Federation of Finnish Learned Societies (TSV).
