Call for New Editors

Ethnologia Fennica, a journal of European ethnology published by the Association of Finnish Ethnologists (Ethnos ry) is looking for 1-2 new article editors for a period of 2019–2021 and one subeditor.

 

Ethnologia Fennica publishes original scholarly articles, review articles, congress reports and book reviews that promote ethnological research. The articles undergo peer review. The journal is published once a year online with full open access. For more information: https://journal.fi/ethnolfenn

 

The qualifications for an article editor of an Academy publication include the following:

  • PhD degree in European Ethnology or related discipline
  • Good knowledge of ethnological research
  • Experience of writing and editing of peer reviewed articles
  • English language skills
  • Ability to use journal.fi portal


Subeditors are not expected to have doctoral degree but MA in Ethnology or related discipline is required.

 

The editors are appointed for a period of three years but can continue for further periods. Editors are not paid. The editor’s task offers valuable experience and a unique view to the contemporary ethnological research and international scholarly publishing.
