The article discusses the information that is contained throughout songs of two music textbooks, which were published in the 21st century and their meaning of nature relationship. The interpretation of the songs is based on theories of environmental philosophy and environmental education, especially human centered nature relationships. Research method is hermeneutics. The article shows four values which songs denote that are represented in nature: 1) nature as a benefit resource, 2) “knowledge” grounded on nature, 3) nature connected to pleasure and 4) nature as a personal space. Values were divided into human centered, dialectic, dialogic and ecologist-holistic ways to respect nature. Finally, the article ponders how nature values from music textbooks could become a question of civilization in primary education level.Downloads
