Abstrakti

ln dynamic environments, a shared vision have
been claimed to be an important factor in the
success of organizations. Shared vision can
energize and inspire the members of the
organization, promote effectiveness and above all, to
secure accomplishment of the mission of the
organization. ln the recent literature concerning
leadership vision has been defined and described in
different way. ln the present article, the concept of
shared vision, related concepts, and fundamental
characteristics of, preconditions for and
consequences of shared vision are clarified by
means of concept analysis. The ultimate goal of this
article is to bring up for discussion whether shared
vision is needed in finnish health care organizations.
