HUMANISM AS AN ADMINISTRATIVE AND
PHILOSOPHIC PHENOMENON
The article compares philosophic humanism with
administrative science. The human themes of
organization theory is examined in the light of the
philosophic themes of humanism. Following
questions arised from the framework: Have human
related concepts of organization reference to
philosophic humanism? Are the human related
concepts condemned to be eternally rationalized
concepts in organization theory? Does man himself
legitimate his anti-social and anti-human actions and
clear of his conscience by using these concepts?
The findings suggest that humanism has not been
applied to administrative science in its broadest
sense. Finally, an explanation of these ideas in
terms of frames of reference and alternatives
available to the studies is offered. The reform
proposal is that the concept of humanism should be
examined in the field of interdisciplinary research in
order to discover its key challenges and dynamics.
