Abstrakti
The article describes the societal
responsibility of the police administration from
two viewpoints: how it is present in
administrative science and administrative
culture of the police and what kind of picture
can be found in the Finnish detective novels
written by Matti Yrjänä Joensuu. The focus of
the article is to make administrative scientific
and literal viewpoints to discuss with each
others. The article is created by two
researchers. Markku Temmes aims to use
administrative science which emphasizes the
role of the police as a basic organisation in
the society and in the politico-administrative
system. The second author of the article
Voitto Ruohonen has in this article and in his
dissertation tackled the societal picture of the
novels by Matti Yrjänä Joensuu from viewpoint
of literature and sociological research.
