Lasten näkökulma yhteisöistä tehdyissä tutkimuksissa – kartoittava kirjallisuuskatsaus

Lasten sosiaalisia suhteita on tutkittu paljon ja viime vuosina tutkimusta on tehty yhä enemmän lasten näkökulmasta. Kuitenkin tutkimusta yhteisöistä on tehty huomattavan vähän erityisesti nuorimpien lasten kokemuksista. Tämän kartoittavan kirjallisuuskatsauksen tavoitteena on selvittää, millä tavoin lasten näkökulma näkyy aiemmissa yhteisöistä tehdyissä tutkimuksissa sekä miten aihetta on aiemmin tutkittu. Katsauksella selvitetään, mitä lapset yhteisöistään kertovat sekä millaiset asiat ovat heille merkityksellisiä. Tutkimuksessa on mukana 24 tutkimusartikkelia, jotka kaikki tarkastelevat lasten moninaisia yhteisöjä lasten kokemuksista lähtöisin. Lasten näkemyksistä tunnistettiin kolme ulottuvuutta: ihmiset, paikat ja kokemukset. Tutkimuksen tuloksina esitetään, että lasten käsitykset yhteisöistä ovat moniulotteisia ja vastaavat yhteisöjen määritelmiä kuvaavia tutkimuksia. Jo hyvin pienillä lapsilla on käsityksiä ja toiveita koskien yhteisöjä, joissa elävät ja vaikuttavat. Tämä on tärkeä ottaa huomioon varhaiskasvatuksen kehittämisessä ja toteutuksessa.
