This article is a report on the tenth Autumn Seminar of the Section for Teachers and Researchers of the Finnish Association of Translators and Interpreters, held at the University of Helsinki in August 2018. The overall theme chosen for this meeting was both the state-of-the-art and the future of translator education in Finland, with a specific focus on the questions of inter-university cooperation and division of labour. These topics are relevant for the translator and interpreter education at the Finnish universities due to education reforms and continuous restructuring measures, and were addressed in four thematic groups that concentrated on doctoral training, distance teaching and learning, profiling, and work practice. The invited theme-related presentations are described in the present article, including proposals for future cooperation that were put forth during the consequent group discussions.
