• Peer reviewers’ or editors' comments sent to authors: 31 December
• Revision of manuscripts by authors: January and February
• Editors’ decision on publication of revised manuscripts: March
• Issue published: April

Issue 2

• Deadline for manuscripts to be sent out for peer review: 15 April
• Deadline for non-peer-reviewed manuscripts: 15 May
• Notification of editors’ decision on manuscripts sent for peer review: May
• Peer reviewers’ or editors' comments sent to authors: 31 August
• Revision of manuscripts by authors: September and October
• Editors’ decision on publication of revised manuscripts: November
• Issue published: December

Issue 2 may also include a thematic section, in which case the guest editors of the thematic section will determine the deadlines for the section.

Proposals for thematic sections need to be submitted by email to mikael@sktl.fi no later than 31 March a year before the intended publication (for example, by 31 March 2027 for a thematic section to be published in December 2028). Please consult the Call for Papers for details
