In this article, the author problematizes the knowledge of the Torah in Christian religious education, and makes an effort to initiate dialogue from a didactic perspective. Interpretations of what kind of religion Judaism is strengthen certain stereotypes on Jews and Judaism, for example the stereotypical image of a harsh god in the Old Testament. The author suggests that the continuity between the Torah and Christianity should be emphasized in religious education. The presentation of Judaism as a so called law religion is also problematic. Instead, it would be soteriologically correct to point out the covenant prior to the law, and emphasize that Torah came after the covenant.Referera så här
