Abstract

In this review article, the author discusses and elaborates on the topic of Karin Sjögren’s dissertation Judar i det svenska folkhemmet. Minne och identitet i Judisk krönika 1948–1958 (transl. Jews in the Swedish people’s home. Memory and identity in Judisk krönika 1948–1958). The first issue of Judisk krönika (Jewish Chronicle) was published in 1932, after the Scandinavian Jewish Youth Organization decided that there is a need for an organ to connect the members of the association. Judisk krönika was the most important voice of the Zionist movement in Sweden and Scandinavia in the 1950s.
