Call for papers: Ortodoksia 63
The Orthodox Church of Finland received its autonomy in 1923 and celebrates the centenary of the event in 2023. To mark the occasion, Ortodoksia invites article proposals for its 63rd volume that explore the origin and significance of the Tomos, the charter that established the autonomous status of the Orthodox Church of Finland.
Furthermore, the war in Ukraine in 2022 has had an impact both on local churches as well as relations between churches. Therefore, we also invite articles that discuss some of the following topics:
- Ruptures of ecclesiastical structures
- Relations between ecclesiastical jurisdictions
- Autonomy and autocephaly
- War and peace
- Relations of orthodox churches with other churches
Ortodoksia welcomes proposals for research articles, reports, reviews of current research and book reviews. Contributions written in Finnish, Swedish or English should be submitted on the publishing platform of Ortodoksia no later than 1st of March 2023. Research articles will be peer-reviewed. The new printed volume will be published in September 2023 at the annual meeting of the Finnish Orthodox Clergy Association. It will also be available as on-line Open Access publication at www.ortodoksia.fi.
