Abstrakti

Decision making in the EC is organized chaos. Formal decision making does not proceed step by Lobbying in Brussels step from one box of the organization chart to another, but one matter can be discussed simultaneously in several bodies of the decision-making system. Such participation that focuses on the formal decision making of the EC only is inefficient. Lobbying is an integral element of the factual decision making in the EC. Lobbying in the EC is, however, less extensive and aggressive than that directed to the US Congress. Lobbying starts by making known what we want of European economic and political decision makers. An essential element of efficient lobbying comprises open, loud, and clear introduction of the aims of a government or an interest group
