Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, DOIs for the references have been provided. If DOI number is not available, URL address and visit date has been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- The manuscript of the article has been anonymized (both the text and the file metadata).
Copyright Notice
Thanatos is an open-access publication, and all of its content is freely available to read immediately upon publication without any fee or registration. Copyright of the texts remains with the authors (for texts published from 2022 onwards).
Thanatos uses the Creative Commons BY-NC-ND license. The journal's metadata is published under the open CC0 1.0 license. Texts published in Thanatos can be used in accordance with the Creative Commons BY-NC-ND license. A reference to the original material and authors must always be provided (Thanatos volume, issue, year, article title, authors, DOI or URL). Articles and texts published in Thanatos can be republished in other contexts, but the details of the original publication (Thanatos volume, issue, year, article title, authors, DOI or URL) must be clearly indicated, and the republication must not violate the CC-BY-NC-ND license.
Anyone is permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, cite, and link to Thanatos content, including full-text articles, archive them, store them in software, deposit them in repositories, or use them for any lawful purpose within the scope allowed by the CC-BY-NC-ND license.
