Abiturienttien lingvistisen kompetenssin hallinta saksankielisissä kirjoitelmissa
Nyckelord:
linguistic competence, matriculation examination, errorAbstract
The aim of my study was to fi nd out how well the candidates for the matriculation examination master the linguistic competence in their German language essays. Their level of mastery was evaluated according to what syntactical, morphological, and lexical errors they made while taking the German language writing exam as part of the matriculation examination in spring 2007.
The study yielded information about the variety of linguistic competence in the German language among high school students. Nevertheless, it did not yield information about how they had adopted the language or about how well they were able to express in German the Finnish meanings they had in mind.
