Journal of Professional and Vocational Education (JPVE) is a Finnish magazine which publishes scientific articles on various professional and vocational education related themes. The journal has four printed issues per year, and it follows a double-blind review process. JPVE is currently classified as type 1 (basic) scientific publication in accordance with the Finnish Publication Forum.
About the Journal
Journal of Professional and Vocational Education (JPVE) has since 1998 published scientific articles written in Finnish, Swedish and English (ISSN 1456-7989). JPVE publishes both empirical and theoretical articles (incl. reviews) on various professional and vocational education related topics. The journal has four printed issues per year, and it follows a double-blind review process.
JPVE is published jointly by Finnish Vocational Educational Research Association (FiVERA) and The OKKA Foundation for Teaching, Education and Personal Development, and is currently classified as type 1 (basic) scientific publication in accordance with the Finnish Publication Forum.
Federation of Finnish Learned Societies (TSV) has granted JPVE the right to use peer-review label from 30th March 2017 onwards. In addition, JPVE receives funding from the Federation as well as from the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland.
Open Access Publishing
JPVE is openly accessible on the Journal.fi platform one month after publication (embargo). Self-archiving of articles published in the journal is allowed one month after publication (the PDF version published on the Journal.fi platform must be used for this purpose). Self-archiving of the accepted or submitted version is not permitted.
The journal is committed to the Creative Commons BY-NC copyright license, which requires that articles published in the journal are cited following scientific practice (BY) and used only for non-commercial purposes (NC).
