Abstract

In this editorial, we focus on examining the statistics of the Finnish Journal of Tourism Research from 2018 to 2023 using data collected by the Journal.fi platform. During this period, the journal published 92 articles, 60% of which were published in Finnish and 40% in English. The most downloaded articles published in the journal include peer-reviewed articles, review articles, and viewpoints. Popular topics have included second-home tourism, proximity tourism, and different dimensions and perspectives of sustainable and responsible tourism. Nearly all the most popular articles have been published since the magazine moved to the Journal.fi platform at the end of 2017. The popularity and importance of the magazine has increased, especially since the start of the pandemic.
