Abstrakti

Behind every conception of power there lies a political theory of how and for what purpose power Power and the lack of is used. This is usually taken for granted when talking about economic power in capitalism, for expower in political ample, but the observation also applies to formal definitions of power research Power research can be divided into two traditions. In actor-centered approaches power and its use are linked to societal actors, their intentions, and their power resources. According to the collective approach, power cannot manifest itself independent of a community. Power should be studied with the help of both the actor-centered and the collective approach. Collective conceptions of power often provide a fruitful starting point. For example, relations between cultures and their symbols on the one hand and the use of power on the other hand cannot be examined on the individual level alone
