Abstract

Spying has always been a way of collecting information on other countries. The traditional role of spying has not decreased as a consequence of the new satellite technology. To what extent is Finland an arena of spying? During the Second World War and after the war all the big powers carried out spying activities in Finland. Work done by American security agencies is the best known. According to the available files we can say that American agencies knew very well the social and political situation in Finland.
