Matkalla postfordismiin?
Abstract
Joachim Hirsch reviews the economic, social and political consequences of the current crisis of capitalist society through an analysis of the end of the age of »Fordist» capitalism as characterized by Tayloristic mass production, egalitarian mass consumption, and the »through-capitalization» of society, and the related political forms and institutions of the Keynesian state. According to Hirsch, the development of »post-Fordist» capitalism would appear to be characterized by a fundamental reorganization of work processes, a highly divided society, and an authoritarian form of a decentralized segmented corporatism. The question of future political developments and conflicts is also discussed within the context of an examination of the role of the so-called »new social movements» in the process of capitalist restructuringDownloads
