Kansalaisten ja kuntajohtajien asennoituminen laajaan kunnalliseen palveluvastuuseen
Abstract
This article is concerned with the attitudes of Finnish citizens and municipal managers towards extensive communal service responsibility. It reports the results of a quantitative questionnaire study, conducted among municipal residents and managers in 2005. The results of this study indicate that citizens support communal service responsibility more than municipal managers. Selected independent variables – such as sex, party political preferences, and the perceived standard of services – differentiate the attitudes of citizens to a greater extent than those of municipal managers. It is also argued that the difference between the citizens’ and municipal managers’ attitudes cannot be explained by interests, ideology, perceived standard of services or structural context factorsDownloads
