Thematic Issue on Art and a Hopeful Future

2024-11-20

RAE 3/2024 Thematic issue on Art and a Hopeful Future is edited by Raisa Foster and Katja Sutela. The issue addresses the relationship between art education and hope. The thematic articles are based on the reseach projects presented in the Arts Education Special Interest Group at the FERA Conference on Education 2023 (Finnish Educational Research Association FERA).

The issue also presents the last general articles in the journal for now. Articles address the craft student teachers' personal relationships to crafting, and the development of reflective documentation in the artistic research and visual ethnography.

The focus of Research in Arts and Education has been concentrated to thematic publication. Thematic issues encourage more multidimensional and polyphonic examination of and discussion on a shared theme.

The DOI-identifiers of the articles activate within 24 hours after publication of the issue.
