Studia Celtica Fennica is the Yearbook of the Finnish Society for Celtic Studies, SFKS, published annually since 2004. We are an international peer-reviewed, Open Access journal dedicated to all periods of the history, literature and languages of the Celtic-speaking countries.

We use a double-blind peer review process. If the editors decide that the submitted article fits the themes and standards of the journal, then it will be sent anonymously to a minimum of two peer reviewers who are experts in the field. The referees are independent in relation to the reviewed manuscript. The reviewers suggest that a) the article is accepted for publication, b) revisions are required, c) should be resubmitted for review after revisions, d) should be resubmitted elsewere or e) declined. The editors make decisions concerning the publication after consulting the reviewers' comments.
Published as an Open Access journal online. Printed versions of the journal were published until 2019. Copies of past issues of the journal may be purchased from Bookstore Tiedekirja, Kirkkokatu 14, Helsinki,https://www.tiedekirja.fi or contact Silva Nurmio (silva.nurmio@helsinki.fi).
Open Access Policy: This is an open-access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
Authors are not charged for publications in this journal, and there is neither a submission fee nor an article processing fee.
