About the Journal

Tekniikan Waiheita is a quarterly journal of the history of technology, published by the Finnish Society for History of Technology. Tekniikan Waiheita welcomes submissions (articles, book reviews, news) from various fields of the history of technology. The journal publishes articles that address the history, cultural, social, and societal impacts of technology, engineering, and industry. Topics related to museums, archives, and educational activities in the field are also covered. We also welcome travel reports, seminar reports, and discussion pieces. In addition to research material, the journal publishes memoirs and stories about people and events related to Finnish industry and technology.

The journal follows double blind peer review procedures in lieu of the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies guidelines for articles. The review process is run by the editor-in-chief and said editor will decide, whether to publish an article based on referee statements. Reports, reviews and news items are not peer reviewed and are published subject to the editor-in-chief’s decision.

All articles published in Journal.fi-service are subject to their rightsholders permission. The journal editorial board has tried it’s utmost to gain permission from all authors to republish their work herein.
