Abstract

In the article a list of the plants in the ruderal places (fields, yards, etc.) in the counties Salla and Kuusamo (Ks) in northern Finland (around the Arctic circle) in the year 1917 (2) are enumerated. Most of them have been carried here by man (antropochores: I in the table). Other species are native in this region but are clearly favoured by the influence of man (apophytes; II in the table). Some special features in the composition of the ruderal flora are discussed.
