What are the aims & scope of the Agricultural and Food Science (AFSci) Journal?
Agricultural and Food Science (AFSci) publishes original research reports on agriculture and food research related to primary production and which have a northern dimension. The fields within the scope of the journal include agricultural economics, agricultural engineering, animal science, environmental science, horticulture, plant and soil science and primary production-related food science. Papers covering both basic and applied research are welcome.
What is an open access journal?
The AFSci Journal is an open-access journal. This means that all articles published in the AFSci Journal are freely and universally available. Online you can find articles from 1945 onwards.
How should I submit articles to AFSci Journal?
Submissions to the AFSci Journal are made using the online submission and peer review system. Registration and access are available at https://journal.fi/afs/about/submissions. Please read carefully the requirements before submitting your article.
How long does it take to review the article submitted?
The reviewing time is 1.5 - 5 months depending on the quality of the manuscript.
Do I need to pay a publication fee and will I receive remuneration for publishing papers in the AFSci Journal?
The journal does not have article processing charges (APCs) or article submission charges. We do not offer remuneration for publishing papers in the AFSci Journal.
Is there a printed version of the AFSci Journal?
Since the year 2010 Agricultural and Food Science Journal has only been available online as an Open Access journal, provided to the user free of charge. Full texts are available online from 1945 on.
Where can I access the online version of the AFSci Journal?
The AFSci Journal is published online https://journal.fi/afs/issue/archive. If you would like a hard copy of an article, you can download the PDF version of the article and print it.
