Abstrakti

Until recently, Julius Evola (1898–1974) has remained virtually unknown to scholars interested in political theory. If mentioned, Evola has been demonized and stigmatized as a fascist, not as a political thinker worth studying. Although Evola did support Fascism and even National Social­ism to a certain extent, he also criticized both and thought that totalitarian rule represented a perversion of the traditional ways. In addition to being a devoted traditionalist, Evola was also a revolutionary. He fiercely rejected the modern and embraced the past, which in Evola’s writings is the perennial truth, Tradition. This article deals with Evola’s conception of politics and time, which together constitute the kernel of his thought.
