Politiikka, ympäristö ja politiikan tutkimus:
katsaus lähinnä anglosaksisen maailman perspektiivistä
Abstract
The relationships between the natural-physical environment and politics are among the newer topics of political inquiry. The article is a review of some contributions to the topic. Nevertheless, the most conventional behavioralist and postbehavioralist environmental political science is not analyzed, and the questions of environment as analyzed in the study of international relations are only briefly touched. As a consequence, the emphasis of the article is on research on the political questions of the environment by analytical political theory, by philosophical political research, and by critical political science. The analysis of the three orientations indicates that the approaches of political inquiry into questions of environment are still at the stage of their formation. The intellectual challenges of environmental questions to political science have remained only challenges, and the discourse of political science has in this respect remained at a state of suppression.Downloads
