Julkisuus on peli eikä peili
Abstract
This article attempts to combine two ideas or themes. On the one hand, it questions the familiar notion of mass communication as a self-evident one-way duct of communication with the substance flowing from senders to recipients or audiences. On the other hand, it considers two different ways of using language, contrasting the notion of language as action, or performance. This article combines the two themes, and gives a set-up of alternatives for the conduct of communicative games. With this set-up of alternative communicative games, the article tries to elucidate different ways of communicating establishing publicity in the mass media, and some political aspects of the different alternatives of publicity.Downloads
