Legaalisesta taloudelliseen rationaalisuuteen politiikassa, hallinnossa ja finanssihallinnossa
Abstract
Replacing Weberian legal rationality with economic rationality, the article argues that there is a legitimate position both for markets, on the one hand, and for politics and administration, on the other. Let markets do what they are best at, but where markets fail, the only prospect is not a morass of political failure. Chances to keep the opportunism of politicians and bureaucrats in check exist; citizens are not as stupid as extreme approaches to political failure suggest; political and bureaucratic bargaining need not produce only inferior and inefficient results with extremely high cost.Downloads
