Mielipidetiedustelun pätevyyden arviointi kvantitatiivisin ja kvalitatiivisin menetelmin
Abstract
Data from political opinion polls are often presented as cross-classified frequency tables on which various statistical tests of homogeneity or independence are performed. To ensure then scientific validity of inference, these frequency tables should fulfill certain internal and external conditions. In this paper, two such external conditions are considered by qualitative and quantitative methods for cases where the data has been collected by quota (nonprobability) sampling and the measurement instrument has been a structured questionnaire. A case study of voting behaviour of Finnish youth is presented.Downloads
