Keskustapuolue, äänestäjät ja äänestyskäyttäytyminen Suomessa 1966—1988
Abstract
The Center Party has had an extremely central position in Finnish politics during the entire post-war era. The object of this presentation is to study and describe the electoral support of the Finnish Center Party and to show what kind of changes have occurred between 1966 and 1988. Apart from showing the changes which have emerged in the electorate, the presentation tries to explain how and why these changes have taken place. The presentation sets out to test and asses the validity of the logit method (technic) for Ecological Inference. This method explains the individual behavior based on information from the aggregate level. The method is built on the election results of two consecutive elections. The analysis of voter loyalty shows that the Center Party is one of the most stable political parties of Finland, i.e. the party has a very stable electorate. Most of the floating votes occurs between the Center Party and the non-voters and the Rural Party.Nedladdningar
