Gibberellihapon vaikutuksesta eräisiin puutarhakasveihin

Abstract

Following plants were treated with gibberellic acid (0.25 mg per plant): lettuce (Lactuca sativa var. capitata), varieties Jade and Pennlake, green sprouting broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. italica variety Parannettu Calabrese, dahlia (Dahlia sp.). varieties Calendula, Nagels Perfection and Obergärtner Erhard Benke, and freesia (Freesia refracta), variety K & M Super. Flowering was induced in lettuce without heading in an environment where the control plants remained vegetative. – Flowering in dahlia varieties was 7—9 days earlier in plants treated with gibberellic acid than in controls. – There was no visible reaction in green sprouting broccoli and freesia treated with gibberellic acid.
