November 29th 1967 died in Denmark the correspondent member of the Scientific Agricultural Society of Finland (from the year 1956) Doctor h.c. HANS NIELSEN FRANDSEN (born 1881). In this article professor Vilho A. Pesola outlines the curriculum vitae of Dr. Frandsen and gives a summary of his scientific biological investigations and of his practical plant breeding work.
