The article studies The Lost Mitten and Other Stories museum exhibition and its virtual 360-version. The exhibitions are based on the Lost Mitten and Other Stories research project, active in 2018–2022, which explored the themes of borders, mobile identities, dialogue, and new neighbor relations through ethnographic methods and art-based methods. The article examines the exhibitions as interactive spaces, where the museum visitor's interactions with objects and stories in the exhibition space serve as an instrument for forming reflective understanding of border and mobility related themes. The aim of the article is also to discuss themes that can help research projects in planning to present or publish their results in cooperation with museums and galleries. The article is theoretically grounded at the intersection of museum pedagogy and exhibition activities typical of the 2010s, as well as new materialism.
