The public defence of Joonas Lahtinen’s doctoral dissertation in Theatre research was held via Zoom at the University of Helsinki on 11 December 2020. Prof. Fintan Walsh (Birkbeck, University of London) acted as Opponent and Prof. Hanna Korsberg (University of Helsinki) as Custos.

Joonas Lahtinen

Dr. Joonas Lahtinen is a Vienna-based performance scholar, performance and installation artist, and Lecturer-Researcher in Art and Education at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Lahtinen studied Theatre research at the University of Helsinki and Performance at Queen Mary, University of London. He has published several research and popular articles on participatory performance, performance analysis, and artistic research. His artistic projects have been presented internationally e.g. in Austria, Belgium, Finland, Germany, Italy, Romania and Switzerland.
