Opinnollistaminen nuorten työpajan ekspansiivisena toimintakonseptina ja yhteistyöverkoston haasteena
Abstract
Studification as an expansive concept for youth workshops and as a challenge for the collaborative network The article examines studification as a new concept for youth workshops, alongside their traditional rehabilitation activities. The model was developed in a series of projects and considered beneficial. The consolidation of the new concept, however, is only progressing slowly, and we are asking why. The research data consists of interviews with employees at the youth workshop and the hosting educational institution, and with other members of the service network. In the framework of the cultural-historical activity theory, we first analyzed the expansive solutions described by the interviewees. Secondly, we studied the types of problems hindering the consolidation of the studification concept. In the results, we modelled studification as an expansive activity concept and showed that consolidating it as a part of the youth workshop’s activities will require dealing with a wide range of social and educational policy boundary conditions. In addition, a sustainable expansive activity requires continuous re-creation instead of project-based development only.
