Riittääkö osaaminen tulevaisuudessa?

Abstract

The Future of Expert Services: Will our know-how suffice in the future? – The article examines the future developments of expert services, such as training, consulting, and information services directed at firms, as well as the future know-how required of consultants and other business experts. The examination is based on an andicipation project conducted by the Centre for Continuing Education, University of Helsinki, (1998). The supply of and demand for expert services has been growing, and according to the study, will continue to grow. The need for knowhow in the area will continue to grow, which might lead to increasing competition over a professionally-qualified work force. The article also considers whether university education provides the necessary professional know-how.
